You'd think a place with "GRILLE" in the name might manage to be sure they have a lousy little sirloin steak on hand when a customer orders it (at a few minutes after 6 on a weeknight) -- Apparently such was 86'ed already by the time I tried to order. I see from prior reviews that this isn't the first time it's happened. The chicken I ended up ordering wasn't half-bad -- But the lame home fried potatoes that accompanied it were so greasy, limp, and flavorless that I only had about 2-3 of the slices, and the zucchini was equally lacking in flavor. Service was OK (sat at the bar -- bartender was attentive and appropriately apologetic for the menu item being missing). But I observed a few interactions with the other staff and didn't feel that the staff was really well trained or on top of their game. Was hoping I'd have an alternative to the always wonderful (but damned expensive) Campiello in that same vicinity -- Probably not. Beer was cheap and they had a few good ones on tap, so maybe I'll break down and give them a second try. It is essentially nothing more than bar-food regular, akin to an Applebees or so forth.

Had dinner here last night. The food was ok.... Salad was completely drenched in dressing and the apple crisp for dessert was burnt. Service was not very friendly and did not check back more than once. Also, was seated next to the kitchen and had to listen to the servers complain about their jobs. There's a time and a place.....

Sat indoors on a hot day. Waitress was just the right amount of friendly without boring us with any conversation. Ordered food to share and sat for a long time. Overall, clean, delicious experience!

The kitchen staff was working hard tonight! They make this place happen! There was an old man working hard in the kitchen that made me want to stay. He truly puts everything into his job!!

The food is ok; however the service is terrible. I've been for breakfast a few times and each time I've waited over 45 min to get my food.

Mahi mahi was dry, the pizza greasy, things were poorly prepared, and service was lackluster.

This place has gone downhill fast. Not all of their same wait staff is there and that is very disappointing. They were one of the major reasons to go there! The food is very inconsistent. The presentation is never the same as it is from prior visits. The portions are never the same either. At times the portions are beyond massive (which isn't a good sign) and other times it's crazy small. They used to serve two slices (4 pieces) of toast with breakfast. They now serve one slice. If you come for breakfast and order eggs scrambled or egg whites you'll get a premixed egg product substitute. Is it that hard to crack and scramble a couple eggs? The food always comes out covered in butter/oil/grease and is very unappetizing. The food is rarely warm and very unappetizing coming out ice cold. Outside the restaurant it shows signs of a lack of pride and care for their property and restaurant. The grass is becoming so weedy or dying in places. The flowers are dried up and dying and the weeds are taking over the mulch/shrub areas. The backroom has very poor lighting with lights that do not work and are very dim with no concern (or money) to fix the issues. The lunch crowd packs this place during the week and fear these people are the only ones keeping it open. If they don't make changes this place won't be around.

Had the opportunity to join some colleagues for dinner one night as we were all in the same training session. This was an overall pleasant, slightly loud, lodge-design type restaurant. We had a couple of appetizers - fried cheese balls that were very cheddar-y if that's a word and some chips and salsa that were done like any chain would do chips and salsa. I'm pretty sure the salsa came from a bottle labeled "Chi-Chi's". Entrees were to a person huge. Seriously. Very generously portioned. They seemed to do best with the deep fried items like fried haddock and chicken fingers. Burgers got thumbs up. Salad with grilled chicken was very tasty, though it could have used more tossing in dressing as there was not enough. Pasta dishes were fine, forgettable, nothing to cheer over. Service was irregular, lots of glasses went empty and our server never refilled and we could not get their attention to get refills. It's a not-chain that acts very much like a chain, predictably fine food and pleasant surroundings.

Unfortunately I had a pretty upsetting time here. Took 50 minutes to get Mac and cheese and a salad in a restaurant seeming to be serving only 3 tables at the time. They forgot to bring out onion rings and when the Mac and cheese finally arrived it was luke warm. Getting the bill and to go boxes was also a challenge. After nearly 2 hours we left still hungry and frustrated Haha I'm not one to leave reviews but this just plain sucked.

Not bad but not great. Just "A-ok" as the rating suggests. Heard a lot about the white chicken chili so I had to try it. Let me start off by saying to get the bowl for $1 more. The cup is almost the size of a dixie cup; 3 spponfuls and your done. As for taste, it wasn't anything to write home about and needed seasoning. Ordered the fish taco's based on recommendation and they were ok. I wanted the walleye sandwich but was told the fish (tilapia) tacos' were much better.

I would have given this 3 stars but the last two times have been underwhelming. They always mess up my order. Today, two of us got BLTs. Mine came without tomato or a pickle and hers had so much tomato she gave me some to put on my sandwich! It seems silly when there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied due to the weather. I think there was a server and cook ratio of 1 to 1 with tables. It also seems pricy. For a BLT and soda I spent $16 after tax and tip. For this kind of $ I would much prefer hitting Pairings for their BLT.

A group of friends from work ate at Woody's for lunch. All of us ordered burgers with one exception and she ordered the roasted pear and chicken salad. First the salad, she said it was okay but there wasn't much chicken. This seems like the kind of place to order a burger and they were very good. My rare burger was closer to medium rare but still flavorful and juicy. I ordered the wild mushroom burger and it only had a few mushrooms. The fries were good and the service was attentive. For noon on a weekday it was pretty empty.

Went here to meet family for breakfast, I figured breakfast is the one meal that most restaurants cannot mess up. I was wrong. I ordered my favorite breakfast dish in the world, eggs Benedict. When it came it was the lamest eggs Benedict I've ever seen in my life. For $10 I got the smallest serving that I've ever seen. The piece of ham was paper thin and seemed to be something they just reheated in the microwave. The hash-brown's were pure grease, and the service was terrible. Half of our table got their food about 10 minutes (no exaggeration) before the other half of our table. The service was SLOW!!! I could go on but I'd just get upset so I'm stopping here. I would never recommend this place to anyone, stay clear. It's overpriced and not good at all. I guess the highlight of my dining experience here, was that they try to be fancy by having a tall, somewhat attractive girl, wearing a short (really short) skirt working at the desk when you walk in trying to be somewhat of a maitre d or something. That part was OK I guess, but still doesn't make up for terrible overpriced food.

Moved to the area at the beginning of this year and I'm so upset that it took me so long to try this restaurant! My mom and I we're craving some steak and thought we'd give Woody's a try, and they exceeded out expectations. I had the beef tips (ordered medium rare) and they were so tender and flavorful. What really blew me away was the green and red bell peppers, because most places I go to cook all the flavor out of the vegetables, but here it was done perfectly. My mother loved her steak as well, and we split the apple crisp with ice cream that finished off the meal perfectly. I'll definitely be coming back!

I went to Woody's for the first time as part of a large group of lunch. We did have reservations and were promptly greeted and sat. Our table was clean and comfortable. The seemed to have a large variety of options on their menu for lunch and the prices were average, bur the portions were large. I had the southwest spicy chicken sandwich and fries. The ciabatta role was fresh but a bit chewy. The chicken was good but could have been a bit spicier, but overall decent as were tge fries. The server was nice and attentive with refills and the restaurant seemed busy when we left. She also split the check out for each person.

Not very good at all. We walked in from the Garden Inn across the street (pretty much the only restaurant you can walk to when it's minus-balls degrees outside) and the place was nearly empty. The only people who seemed to be working were the hostess (who we later found out doubled as a bartender and other things), a harried waiter (who was harried despite there being only 3 tables seated) and a cook. It took a long time for the waiter to approach our table. The hostess ended up getting our drinks, and kept returning to the table every 5-10 minutes to explain that the waiter would be right with us. Was he having a smoke? Reading a novel? In the back watching a cockfighting match? I don't get it. When we finally did get the food it was decent. Decent in the way the boil bags at Olive Garden are decent.

I was a little frustrated by the slow service at the bar. I was also annoyed that I got charged a dollar more per drink than I usually get charged for the same drink at the other Woody's (where I go fairly often). Nothing major, but I won't be running back to this one any time soon.

Woodys has become a happy hour fav. GREAT bruchetta and happy hour drink prices. We were here on Sunday late afternoon and found that they have added even more new items to happy hour. Check it out..getting better.

Woody's Grille is always busy whenever I've gone for lunch or dinner although there is usually no wait as they have a pretty large seating area. The decor and atmosphere is bright, cozy and welcoming and the food is good as well as the service. This is a popular place for happy hours and the office lunch time crowd due to the right mix of casual atmosphere yet an upscale vibe. I've tried several dishes like the salmon and gorgonzola pasta and chicken and all have been reasonably good. I like the warm bread that they serve too. A good choice for a dinner with friends or family or lunch with a co-worker or friend.

I travel frequently for business and found myself in Eden Prairie this week for work. Looking for a decent meal and wanting to avoid the chains and contribute to the local economy, I jumped on Yelp in search of good local fare. Woodys came up as highly recommended and was less than a mile from the hotel I was staying at. A quick jaunt across the road and I found it. Initial reaction was that it was clean and well decorated and had an inviting atmosphere. In less than minute I was greeted and seated at the bar, which serves the full menu. The bar was comfortable and quieter than most bar areas, even though it was mostly full. The bartender was friendly and helped me decide between several appealing menu choices. The food arrived quickly and my drink was never empty. After dinner, the call of the pumpkin cheesecake was too potent to resist. It was definitely worth it. I paired it with a butterscotch schnapps coffee. I will definitely come back when I am in the area next and will recommend it to friends.

Took the girl out to dinner to Woody's Grill in Eden Prairie. Online it looked great, even walking up to the place, someone came out and said "the food was great!" so Needless to say- I was excited to try it out. We sat down and ordered some aps. Our server said nothing about specials. When she came back for our order- I got the top sirloin. "oh, we don't have that tonight!" ok, I'll get the ribs "oh, we don't have that either" ok I'll get the most expensive steak on your menu "ok, with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes?" yep- Then she comes back and says they 86'd the mashed potatoes, so we will get rice with our meals. We walked out- at Rudlophs now. Shoulda came here first. THEN- I email the restaurant from their website and the executive chef mails me a gift card.......it works, we set a reservation and give them a second try. I called 3 days ahead of time and set a reservation for 6pm on a Sunday. I called at 5pm on Sunday, to confirm our reservation. The hostess told me THEY WERE CLOSING AT 5:30PM DUE TO THE HOLIDAY!!!!! un-freaking-believable. So 3rd times the charm, right?........Right!?!........NOPE- we go in with money, groupons, and gift cards to spend. We were not greeted at the door, instead just given the talk to the hand signal, 5 feet in. we stopped and looked at each-other, then the hostess grabbed 2 menus and walked away without a word. We followed, because we were hungry. We order the brusel sprouts (i love brusel sprouts) these were under cooked to the point of being raw. GROSS! I ordered the $38 steak, medium-rare. It was solid gray in the center and tough as hell. any steak at applebees would have been better. My date ordered the Cuban and it was bland and SUPER FATTY! bland, fat......yeah, that was a first for me, too. Needless to say- If you have a gift card or a groupon, burn it. People on both sides of our table, sent their food back as well. This is the most horribly managed, worst cooked-dining experience, i have EVER had.

Happy hour is A+, food is B, service is A+. Not the best I have had, not the worst and somewhere in between. Hard to mess up the drinks with such a large bar and the service was super! The white chili nachos were soggy upon arrival and the food was ok (had the beef short ribs plate and beef short ribs tacos with cole slaw). The entree portions were great in size, more than enough, but also very average in taste. I say go for the drinks and don't expect to be in awe of the food, but don't be expected to be let down -- just the water logged nachos!

I went there last night with six coworkers for a going away dinner for our manager. We were all ready to order than she informed us that she gave us the lunch menu vs the dinner menu so we will have to order from that. Several of the things our table wanted to order were the same on both menus but more expensive on the dinner menu. I then order fried calamari the waitress comes back 15 minutes later to say they had no fried calamari. I then ordered the smoked haddock appetizer waitress comes back and says they are out of that. I then order the fish tacos. Our whole table gets their meals but one person. Waitress said that cook forgot to put in order for her turkey burger. We don't want to be rude so we are waiting for her meal to come as our's is getting cold. When I did eat the fish tacos they were not good. Burnt crispy flavorless tilapia . Our whole table just picked at their food. The guacamole still had huge pieces of the peeling in it. my coworker next to me asked for her pasta without the chunks of tomatoes. Guess what she spent most of the meal picking out the tomatoes. Thanks Woody's for spoiling our going away dinner for our manager.

A very mediocre Sunday breakfast. They use the jelly packages that Perkins use. Very quiet at noon on a Sunday. Hash browns were swimming in oil.

They lost my reservation on a Saturday night! After being interrogated as to "who did you talk to?" by a completely unreponsive hostess and waiting to see a manger who never appeared after 15 minutes, I simply gave up. The kicker is that after a wonderful alternate KFC dinner in haste so we could still make our concert in time, I got home to find a message on my answering machine left not 5 minutes after I had left the restaurant. Yes, they did find my reservation, please call back. I had to send an angry email to elicit any response beyond that, and EVEN THEN no offer to comp, not even dessert offered. Unbelievable. I have gone there since they opened and now never again. Note to Woody's: To compensate for your fairly bland fare you need some service to make up for it, and this was abysmal.

Bland food and Boring. I was not impressed with Woody's. Nothing outlandish happened to warrant this mediocre review, I just didn't like my food. I got the fish tacos and they were incredibly bland. They didn't have anything special about them. There really is nothing much to say about them... All I tasted was tortilla and fish, nothing I couldn't have made at home with frozen fish fillets. It looked so much more fun from the outside. Guess you can't judge a restaurant by it's cover.

I think the word for this place is a diamond in the ruff! The food was pretty good but the service was great! I had a cup of the white chicken chilly and some brisket tacos. The chilly was to die for! The tacos, not so much. I was going to have the fish tacos and the server told me to try the BBQ. What a mistake! They were advertised as smoked brisket. Yeah? When I tasted and then verified, I found they were using liquid smoke! Really? Nasty! It seems they boil the meat and then mix with BBQ and liquid smoke. YUCK! The tacos were big though and I only had 2 of the 3. Served with them were some freshly made potato chips! YUUUMMMMMYYYYY! I know this place just got purchased and I want to come back after the new owners get a chance to move in and change things. I'd try this place if I were you and then let the rest of us know how it goes. Great people, pretty good food, and a really down to earth vibe. Try it!

This is not a perfect place, but it's OK. A group of 12 were there on Saturday after a women's conference. The waitress was very good and kept carafes of water on the table for us. Three of us ordered Cuban sandwiches but found they were not the killer sandwiches we had hoped for. People that had the chili really liked it, but overall, the feedback was that it just wasn't all that great. It was a chill kind of place. Relaxing and quiet. But I don't think we'll return if we find ourselves in the area again.

Looking for a place to grab a bottomless glass of wine and an entree?? Woody's is it! I recently stopped in for their pazole (I am addicted to the soup version and wanted to give their entree version a try) and a glass of wine. The place was actually packed (apparently they have a private dining area that drove the capacity to a much higher level than I anticipated from the outside), but I was seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and helped me select a nice wine to go with my entree. The dinner came with a warm bread selection, which kept me satisfied until the pazole arrived (which was actually a really long time). The entree was ok-not what I was expecting, but full of flavor and hot. Overall the food is decent, but it is more of a place to relax and chill than a food destination.

On Thursday, myself and the rest of the recent new hires at my new job were invited out to breakfast with the CEO of the company at a place called Woody's. I learned of the breakfast earlier in the week and took a few minutes to scope out the menu beforehand and see what they had for breakfast. I was not really expecting to see a full of a menu as I did. There was a large array of eggs, toasts, pancakes etc in about every shape or form you could imagine. We were seated at 7:30 when we arrived, and within a minute we were presented with a hot cup of coffee on a chilly morning. When we arrived, we were about the only ones in the place, however when we left about 9am, the dining area was pretty much full, with a variety of patrons from locals, businessmen, and what appeared to be a senior group in for an outing. I opted to get the Johnny D, which was scrambled eggs, smokehouse bacon, choice of toast or muffin, along with two pancakes and hash browns. As we chatted and waited for our food, our server was very attentive to ensure our coffee was topped off. Our meals started to come out within about 10 minutes. I was really impressed to see the huge portions of food. Granted my meal was 9.95, which is still I think a reasonable amount for the most important meal of the day, but it was still a pile of food! My eggs were scrambled, and didn't taste like powdered either, they were light and fluffy, not slippery either. The bacon was thick cut, and well done, enough to not be limp, but not carbonized either. The has browns were excellent, browned on top, and warm and just perfect in the center. The pancakes had powdered sugar on them, with some rich maple syrup, which were also excellent. There was enough food on my plate that I did not finish all of my meal, however I did eat enough where I was ready for a nap afterwards, afterall - it was really good. Overall, I would suggest Woody's for breakfast, and I would think their other meals are just as good. I did see a bar with a few taps on it, and a number of bottles, so I would imagine they have some good happy hour festivities.

We had called - days ahead - for a reservation for 21 for Sunday brunch. We arrived to find it set for only 18 with no room to expand as they had booked another equally large group in the same back room. Thankfully we had a couple of no-shows so we were able to squeeze everyone in. However - the service was abysmal! It was difficult to get the food ordered. In addition, some received their order long after the majority had finished eating. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get them to refill our coffee or bring cream for the coffee. We asked 5 times. One person in our party actually went TO the kitchen area to ask for more coffee with the carafe in hand and STILL never got it! I ended up asking the manager, who promised to bring two carafes - he never did. One in our party is allergic to strawberries yet that was the only jam they had. To add insult to injury, the food wasn't very good nor hot enough. The Belgium waffles were served without the normal accompaniment of strawberries & whipped cream. After repeated requests, a side cup of whipped cream was ultimately delivered but not the strawberries. They said that they were understaffed - ya think?? With TWO huge groups making pre-reservations days in advance - they should have been adequately staffed to handle a full normal Sunday business load, but were woefully unprepared.

I have had Woody's breakfast several times and it is one of my top morning spots in Eden Prairie for those mornings when we can get out without the kids and enjoy a quite breakfast. I only gave Woody's 4 stars because you really have to floor me to get a 5 and there are not too many breakfasts that I have ever had that can reach a 5.

Stopped in for lunch with a coworker and had a bowl of their white chili. It was very good and made me want to go back and try their other dishes. The decor was not very fancy, but comfortable and friendly. I was also intrigued by their "bottomless" glass of wine at dinner.

After getting on Yelp to see what kind of reviews this restaurant had, I didn't have any worries about food here. We celebrated the parents' birthday there and was very happy that they were able to accommodate 13 of us AND let us bring our own cake. I've never heard of that - thinking they'd make us purchase desserts there, but didn't, so that was nice. As for the food, we started off with a couple appetizers - walleye fingers and boneless buffalo wings -- both pretty tasty. And my husband had a cup of their 'award winning' white chicken chili. THAT was really good, so I figured that dinner was going to be a real treat! At that time it was starting to get pretty busy in there, so I thought, this place is a happenin' place. Finally our food started to filter in and it all looked delicious.....I had the Chicken Gorgonzola Pasta. It looked great, it was steaming hot which lead me to think that it just got done -- I hate 'warmed up' pasta. At first bite I thought, oh my this is really salty! I was looking forward to eating all of it, but the overwhelming salty pasta had me work to try to eat just over half of it. My husband and a couple others had the pot roast. It looked great, but the first thing my husband said after his first bite was oh my gosh, salty!! He ended up scraping off all the gravy (the EXTREMELY salty culprit). My husband usually finishes his meals even if it sucks, but he couldn't get though this one. He and others said the more you eat it, the more salty it got. We had high hopes but it was a total let down. Never again. The only reason why they got two stars was because they were very accommodating....and that was it. Eat at your own risk. We came home chugging water to wash down all that saltiness!

The service is great and personable. I love the Gorgonzola pasta! I think of it often! :) Again, we help a Christmas party here and the service was PERFECT!

Average food all around. Decent enough place to stop by for happy hour, but to go out of my way to go there for a special meal wouldn't be worth it.

The food was not liked by all because we picked the wrong menu for our group and we had to pick the menu before we went so it was hard to please everyone. Love happy hour and apps!

Try it!
